Planner and university lecturer Sean Hertel applies what he’s learned from his early life in Windsor and his travels to a lens through which he sees what works and what doesn’t in Toronto. He challenges his students and all of us to listen, to think outside the box, and to move through fear and into innovation. From food trucks in Nathan Phillips Squares to fold up chairs so people can create their own pop up micro cafe on city streets, Sean shows us what’s possible if we let our imaginations run free - and shows us that what may seem impractical in Toronto can be found in cities around the world. He invites us to take the plunge into a new future, to which I say, let’s take a deep breath and dive in!
